Privacy Policy

My Property Platform (“we”, “us”) publishes free calculators and guides for rental property owners at mypropertyplatform.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. My Property Platform is part of Scalable Ventures.

The short version

• You can use every calculator and guide without an account and without giving us your name or email.
• Calculator inputs are processed in your browser. We do not receive them unless you ask us to email you a report.
• We never sell your personal information.
• We only share your details with a professional (for example a CPA) if you explicitly ask us to, each time.

Information you give us

We collect personal information only when you choose to send it:

• Report requests. If you ask us to email you a calculator report, we store your email address, the state you select, a summary of the results you asked us to send (for example the option that ranked first and the figures shown), the page you used, and the date and time. We use this to send the report and, if you agree, occasional follow-up guides.
• Introduction requests. If you tick a box asking to be introduced to a type of professional, we record which type, the wording of the consent you gave, and when. We will not pass your details to anyone without that consent.
• Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we store your email address and where you signed up.
• Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and tools are used, and Microsoft Clarity to see, in aggregate, how people interact with pages so we can improve them. These services use cookies and similar technologies and receive information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and events such as “calculator result shown”. They do not receive the numbers you type into calculators.

Visitors in regions that require consent (such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom) see a cookie banner, and analytics stay off until you accept. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and reliability.

How we use information

• To send the reports and emails you request.
• To make introductions you have asked for.
• To improve our tools and content, and to fix errors.
• To protect the site from spam and abuse (for example by rate-limiting form submissions).
• To comply with legal obligations.

Sharing

We use service providers to run the site and store data (hosting, database, email delivery and analytics). They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes. If you ask to be introduced to a professional, we share the details you agreed to share with that professional, and we will tell you if we may receive a referral fee. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Retention

We keep report and introduction requests for up to three years so we can answer follow-up questions, then delete or anonymise them. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link in it, or by emailing us.
• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
• Withdraw consent to an introduction at any time before it is made.
• Decline or withdraw analytics cookies through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, the EEA or the UK), you may have additional rights under local law. We honour these requests for all users. To make a request, email support@mypropertyplatform.com.

Children

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will highlight material changes on the site.
